Deputy Regional Manager - South West England

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Regional Manager to join a reputable organisation specialising in fostering and children's services in the South West region. The Deputy Regional Manager will support the Regional Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the fostering service, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering high-quality care to children and young people. This is a permanent, home-based role with regular weekly attendance at a regional office in South West England.

• Support the recruitment, matching, and retention of foster carers
• Oversee placements and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies
• Work closely with the Regional Manager to develop services within the region
• Stay informed on legislation and sector developments
• Contribute to quality assurance and audit processes
• Demonstrate proven leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to prioritise and plan workloads effectively

• Recognised and accredited social work qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Knowledge of Ofsted standards, Children Act legislation, and fostering regulations
• Strong safeguarding expertise
• Excellent administrative, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience managing team performance and conducting audits
• Ability to manage complex cases and support foster carer development

Location:

Home-based with regional office attendance in South West England

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus on call responsibilities

Salary: £45,000 per annum plus discretionary PRP bonus
