Reporting to the Director, Operational Finance, the Manager, Billing, will be responsible for leading a team of 5+ direct reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring billing timelines are met monthly and monthly variance analysis are completed with the proper level of diligence. A key part of the role will be to review existing billing processes, identifying areas for process improvement and overseeing the implementation of billing process changes to enable optimal business performance.

The successful candidate will take a leadership role within the Finance team and must demonstrate a willingness and ability to work in various environments and with multiple teams and departments across the organization. Finally, the successful candidate must be a strong influencer and communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment with frequently changing business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring Billing timelines are met monthly

• Assisting in the review and completion of monthly billing variance analysis

• Lead and coach a team of direct reports while ensuring appropriate expectations are set

• Assist in the identification, development and implementation of best-in-class billing processes

• Prepare process documentation and provide training to billing representatives as required

• Assist in finance integration activities for prospective and completed acquisitions

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in business/ finance/ accounting, Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is an asset

• 3- 5 years of management-level experience, including a background in billing and operational process improvement.

• Experience in an SAP environment is an asset.

• Proven leadership and assertiveness.

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, including management.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.

• Strong project management skills.

• Focused attention to detail.

This is a remote position, and the salary range for this role is $65,000–$95,000 CAD, Compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
