**** Job Description Summary
** The Director for International Recruitment, reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Admission, leads a team responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of international student recruitment for Miami’s undergraduate and graduate programs. The Director also leads Admission’s strategic efforts to conceptualize, develop, expand and diversify various enrollment pipelines through innovative partnerships and programs to increase international enrollment tightly aligned with the University’s mission, including proactive oversight of Miami’s international agent network.
The Director serves as a senior member of the Admission Leadership Team and on the Extended Leadership Team for the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success (EMSS).
The Director is a highly ethical and accountable leader who balances decisiveness and adaptability needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment and competitive international landscape with the transparency and collaborative spirit that empowers others to succeed in their own roles. The Director is a problem-solver, proactively addressing issues through collaboration and delegating to appropriate staff as needed, and resourceful in removing hurdles to their team’s success.
The Director displays high expectations of themselves and of others, inspiring a team and culture that celebrates initiative, hard work, enthusiastic effort, and excellence. The Director will be comfortable traveling up to 12 weeks a year, supporting international recruitment efforts as the university maintains a strategic global presence, including the exploration of emerging markets. The position also works closely with the Assistant Vice President of Admission and Senior Director of Student Financial Assistance to strategically leverage the necessary financial aid to maximize enrollment and net tuition revenue in alignment with the University’s strategic enrollment plan.
This position is approved for remote work on a hybrid basis. Remote work is not a right, but a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partnership Development
* Regularly review and update International Recruitment policies and procedures to reflect evolving standards and trends.
* Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with community colleges, universities, high schools, and other educational entities.
* Coordinate joint programs and initiatives that advance international student opportunities, enrollment, and student success.
* Serve as liaison with external agencies to promote and support international student-related collaborations.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive agent partnership strategy, including recruitment, vetting, onboarding, training, performance management, contract oversight, commission structures, and ongoing compliance monitoring, ensuring ethical practices and strong ROI across markets.
Transfer Pathway Promotion
* Collaborate with the Director of Transfer Admission and the Director of Global Initiatives in the development of transfer options.
* Develop and deliver resources, workshops, and communication tools that assist students and internal stakeholders with the transfer process.
Data Reporting and Strategic Analysis
* Collect, analyze, and report data on international enrollment, including agent, partnership, and search effectiveness.
* Use insights to recommend improvements and inform strategic planning for international enrollment and student success.
* Prepare and present reports to institutional leaders and external stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
