We are looking for an inspiring and forward‑thinking Environmental Health Team Manager to lead our Environmental Protection and Health & Safety Team. This is your opportunity to play a key role in protecting public health and the environment, whilst delivering a wide range of statutory functions and shaping future policy.

This is a challenging and rewarding role, working with a dedicated team of professionals in one of the most dynamic and diverse cities in the UK. As Team Manager of the Environmental Protection and Health & Safety team you will deliver a range of functions including commercial nuisance investigations, health & safety in the private sector, entertainment licensing, animal welfare, air quality and pollution control.
You will be a key part of our management team, contributing to strategic decision making and ensuring excellent service standards. You will forge and maintain strong partnerships with the Environment Agency, Police, DEFRA, HSE, UKHSA, along with internal partners and local organisations. You will be an excellent motivator and be able to support and develop your team of EHO’s and technical officers, overseeing complex regulatory work and managing budgets along with competing service demands.
