What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Director, Simplii Financial, the Director, Product Management is accountable for end-to-end ownership of Everyday Banking and non-registered Savings experiences. This includes the foundational capabilities clients rely on to store, grow, access, move, and manage money day to day, as well as the underlying platform and servicing experiences that build trust, reliability, and scale. The Director sets the product vision and strategy for Everyday Banking and Savings, defines success metrics and outcomes, and leads cross functional teams to deliver measurable customer and business impact.

This role translates Simplii’s business strategy into clear product direction, balancing customer needs, regulatory and risk requirements, operational realities, and technology constraints. Operating with a high degree of independent judgement, the Director drives prioritization and investment tradeoffs, leads teams through complex and ambiguous problem spaces, and influences senior stakeholders across Simplii and the broader bank. This role is both a product leader and people leader, responsible for building strong product talent, establishing quality standards, and reinforcing a customer first, outcome driven product culture.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on‑site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

Team management - Lead, motivate, and coach the team on an ongoing basis by setting appropriate context when assigning work to align individual roles with business unit priorities and Simplii’s overall goals, managing performance through fair and accurate feedback, removing obstacles, and clarifying expectations, creating a positive work environment and serving as a role model by championing Simplii’s mission, vision, and values, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, and controls, and hiring the right people in the right roles to align capabilities with job requirements and business unit objectives.
