Position: Assistant Accounting Manager (2 days WFH, no OT culture)

Our client is an established global leader within the Retail sector and we are looking for an Assistant Accounting Manager to join them.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be leading a team of Accounts Executives and manage the end-to-end financial closing process, ensuring the precision of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts while managing comprehensive cash flow forecasts and ledger maintenance. You will provide strategic oversight for accounts payable and receivable functions to optimize collections and payments, while also ensuring strict adherence to indirect tax filings and statutory reporting requirements.

Beyond core operations, you will act as a key liaison for external auditors, tax agents, and banking partners, conducting rigorous variance analysis and delivering reporting packages to global headquarters. Additionally, you will be tasked with mentoring junior staff and evaluating internal workflows to implement efficiency-driven improvements to existing accounting practices. The ideal candidate will process a blend of technical proficiency and professional gravitas.

We are seeking a decisive yet approachable leader who is an articulate communicator and a collaborative team player, capable of driving performance while maintaining high team morale.

skills and experience required.

A Chartered Accountant or ACCA qualified with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience. We are also open to candidates directly from mid tier or local accounting practices who possess practical experience in managing full spectrum statutory reporting and local compliance.
