"Find your role"
This role is responsible for leading the strategic development and operational performance of our Delivery as a Service (DaaS) proposition. DaaS orders are placed directly through our website, fulfilled by our in-store colleagues, and delivered by our partners’ courier networks — meaning we own the full end-to-end customer experience. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Online Grocery, Store Operations, Product, Customer, and our delivery partners to ensure DaaS delivers exceptional service, operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
You will own the performance roadmap, drive continuous improvement and elevate customer outcomes through the following drivers:
- Set the strategic direction for DaaS operations, defining performance standards, service ambitions and long-term development plans that support growth and customer satisfaction.
- Own the operational performance framework, using data, insight and forecasting to identify issues, opportunities and emerging trends across picking, dispatch, and last-mile delivery.
- Shape the evolution of the DaaS customer proposition, focusing on improvements that enhance speed, accuracy, reliability and the end-to-end customer journey we fully own.
- Evaluate new delivery models, technologies and routing capabilities, ensuring our DaaS operation remains competitive, efficient and scalable.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between Online Grocery, Store Operations, Product, Customer and Supply Chain on all DaaS initiatives and changes.
- Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the DaaS Coordinator and supporting roles, creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.
"Let's find out about you."
You are a strategic, commercially-minded operator with a deep understanding of last-mile delivery, online fulfilment and customer-centric service design. You’re comfortable owning end-to-end performance and thrive in environments where you can use data and insight to improve outcomes, solve problems and deliver meaningful change.
You build strong relationships, influence confidently at all levels and know how to align diverse teams behind a common plan. You’re equally comfortable in operational detail and long‑term strategic thinking, and you can translate customer needs, performance trends and partner capabilities into clear actions.
- Proven experience in online grocery, last‑mile delivery, logistics or multi‑channel operations, ideally in a role requiring close collaboration with third‑party delivery partners.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into actionable insight, identify root causes, and develop improvement plans that drive measurable results.
- Confident stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior leaders, collaborate across multiple functions and hold partners accountable.
- Experience delivering change at pace, with a track record of leading trials, pilots or operational improvements that enhance service quality or efficiency.
- Customer‑first mindset, with an understanding of how operational decisions impact the full end‑to‑end experience we own in DaaS.
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex problems and articulate recommendations clearly and confidently.
- A proactive, solution‑focused approach, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity where required.
- Strong organisation and planning skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and ensuring robust execution.
- Leadership capability, with experience coaching or developing others, and a desire to build a high‑performing operational team.
