Introduction
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is hiring an Air Monitoring Staff Supervisor in the Division of Environmental Management’s Air Management program. This position may be headquartered in the Milwaukee, Madison or Green Bay DNR Service Centers consideration given to business need and space availability. Remote work may be available for a portion of the work week, after the initial onboarding period.

Summary
This position is responsible for supervising Wisconsin's statewide team of air monitoring field staff and supporting them in accomplishing air monitoring objectives and assignments efficiently and consistently. The position will work with the Air Monitoring Section Manager in managing resources to implement the monitoring program while auditing the progress of staff and resources in achieving program objectives and ensuring accountability. The Air Monitoring Staff Supervisor, under the general supervision of the Air Monitoring Section Manager, has responsibility for the management of all monitoring field personnel stationed throughout all regions of the state including Madison, Milwaukee and Green Bay headquarters.
Supervisory responsibilities include hiring, resolving conflicts among team members, approval of leave time and expenses and providing performance reviews for monitoring team members located throughout the state.
Starting pay for this position is between $39.14 to $45.32 per hour (or $81,411.20 to $94,265.60 annually), in addition to excellent benefits. This position is included in the classification Natural Resources Region Team Supervisor within Pay Schedule/Range 81‑03.

This position is not represented by a collective bargaining unit. Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.
