TEKsystems is currently seeking an experienced Security Program Manager for a 100% Remote 6-month contract to hire.
DescriptionPurpose of Position:
Through the management and execution of enterprise wide projects, represents the ESO mission to enable the business to operate securely, protect its people, assets and preserve shareholder value. The position accomplishes this by overseeing multiple strategic security programs & project activities, and by ensuring ESO participation in projects sponsored by other groups.
- Fully own the mission, goals, operations, and results of the group. This responsibility is non-delegable.
- Provide strong leadership to senior management team/s and direct reports. This includes generating enthusiasm and shared commitment; identifying and setting new directions; teaching, growing, and empowering; owning outcomes; and leading by example. This responsibility is non-delegable. Specific leadership duties include:
- Promoting the vision and tone for the department, consistent with company culture and mission.
- Providing clear goals and performance expectations.
- Hiring individuals who can accomplish those goals and meet those expectations, and providing them the open communications, training, tools, and mentoring they need to be successful and develop professionally, and a development path commensurate with capabilities and potential.
- Providing clear and accurate feedback to individuals and teams on a timely and consistent basis. Identifying and addressing performance problems early and effectively before they damage interests and demoralize other employees. These processes include annual performance reviews, compensation adjustments, promotions, demotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
- 20% Program Management:
Manage programs, projects, and assigned project managers to ensure groups are meeting project deliverables and financial commitments. Maximizing planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams to ensure cyber security and privacy are inherent requirements and deliverables, while also delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to stakeholders. Build relationships with internal and external business partners, to further promote the ESO mission. - 20% Management:
Responsible for hiring, leading, developing and managing the performance by those reporting to this position; establishes and communicates clear performance expectations, makes recommendations for salary increases. Provide timely annual performance reviews to all direct reports. Responsible for team results and recommends and /or approves promotions, demotions, transfers or disciplinary actions up to and including termination. Maintains union free workforce through effective communication and regular feedback to employees regarding their performance against expectations, and use of effective performance recognition of groups involved. - 20% Project Execution:
Develop project execution methodologies that intergrate the ESO mission into project delivery practices across the enterprise and multi functional team structures. Develop program planning to ensure robust budgetary discipline, resource planning and communications. Lead and partipate in project planning and review meetings. - 20% Operational Excellence:
Achieve operational excellence objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; participation in infrastructure and enterprise roadmap planning sessions, implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change. - 10% Vendor Management:
Manage contract compliance, billing, contract deliverables. Manage vendors, contractors and consultants to maximize results, productivity and value. Adhere to procurement management processes. - 10% Culture:
Inspire and foster a positive, results driven, can-do culture. In conjunction with department leadership create an environment of collaboration, candor, professionalism, optimism, open and clear communication, inquisitiveness, and problem solving oriented to results.
