The Position

These are your key tasks:

  • Lead the strategic Workforce overview across all FIFA tournaments and events, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and event delivery milestones.
  • Contribute to Workforce budgeting, calendaring, and the overall workforce approach in collaboration with Event Controlling.
  • Drive end-to-end Workforce Planning through to operational delivery, including special events for FIFA staff and freelancers.
  • Design, implement, and continuously optimise all Workforce processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Establish and communicate the Workforce List as the single source of truth, ensuring consistent and accurate data across the organisation.
  • Implement and manage change management processes to support evolving tournament and event requirements.
  • Oversee data flow and develop central Workforce dashboards for reporting and strategic insights.
  • Define Workforce Service Levels and develop entitlements matrices across workforce groups (transport, travel, accommodation, uniforms, laundry, expenses, etc.).
  • Draft and communicate Workforce policies and procedures to enhance experience and set clear expectations during tournaments and events.
  • Manage operational Workforce requirements including ticketing processes, office set‑ups, key communications, celebration events, and reward & recognition initiatives.
  • Build and standardise global and country-specific people processes, balancing consistency with local regulatory and cultural needs.
  • Contribute to Workforce technology tools and system development initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional services (accommodation, travel, transport, etc.) to ensure Workforce priorities are met.
  • Lead, mentor, and support Workforce Managers, establishing regular 1:1 engagement and team alignment.
  • Drive central projects such as freelancer contracting, uniforms management, workforce experience programmes, training, and systems enhancements.
  • Support the establishment of new FIFA entities for future tournaments and events.
  • Travel as required before and during tournaments and events, including meetings and on‑site delivery.

  • Minimum 5 years of Workforce Management experience, ideally within major sports events and/or complex corporate environments.
  • Proven experience delivering workforce projects from strategic planning through to operational execution within large-scale, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Strong knowledge of event planning and event project management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and apply sound numeracy skills.
  • Experience managing uniform supply chains is a strong advantage.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field;
    Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Excellent cross-cultural interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence, and motivate diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong initiative and service orientation with the ability to manage expectations and drive sustainable programmes.
  • Skilled at anticipating challenges, building contingency plans, and navigating competing deadlines.
  • Cooperative, consultative leadership style with flexibility, resilience, and a positive mindset.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced with workforce or uniform management systems.
  • Understanding of IT implementations and ability to manage multiple communication streams effectively.
