Permanent Full Time Director Brampton, ON, CA

Salary Range: $ To $ Annually

This is a hybrid position - 4 days per week in office and 1 day per week remote

We are seeking a  Director, Technology Delivery and Enablement  to lead our Application Development Team. Reporting to the VP of Applications and Security Services, you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of critical business applications supporting national operations. In this hands‑on leadership role, you'll guide teams of developers, Dev Ops engineers, and offshore QA specialists to deliver secure, scalable solutions while collaborating across departments and managing vendor partnerships.

In this role, you will provide:

Strategic Leadership:  Manage the development and maintenance of Lifemark’s websites and enterprise applications, providing technical leadership, oversight, and execution.

Team Management:  Effectively plan, organize, prioritize, and delegate work assignments; oversee team results for quality, timely delivery, and adherence to policies and procedures.

Architecture & Development:  Provide guidance on application architecture, UI/UX, database design, and system integration with back‑end applications.

Project Execution:  Lead and support concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, schedules, and quality standards.

Vendor

Collaboration:

Manage relationships with third‑party agencies and technology vendors to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Continuous Improvement:  Research and evaluate emerging technologies to meet business needs and continuously enhance development practices and tools.

Cross‑Functional Engagement:  Build strong relationships across departments to align technology solutions with business objectives and ensure operational efficiency.

What we’re looking for

Post‑secondary education in Computer Science or comparable education and experience

10+ years in software/application development, including 3+ years in leadership roles

Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, system architecture, and development methodologies

Proficient in .NET development, relational databases, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

Experienced in managing parallel projects; strong time‑management and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Exceptional project/account management abilities; able to establish and meet schedules

Up to date with industry trends and development best practices

Collaborative mindset with proven team leadership experience

Skilled in release management: planning, coordinating, and executing successful software releases

Demonstrated success in attracting, mentoring, and retaining top talent, supporting career development and succession planning

Proven record of maintaining high stability, uptime, and reliability of enterprise applications via robust monitoring and QA practices

Expertise implementing Dev Ops best practices: automated pipelines, CI/CD, infrastructure as code

Hands‑on experience leveraging AI technologies (machine learning, cognitive services) for automation solutions (an asset)
