Job Summary

Provides leadership and guidance to a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) and helps team members meet or exceed targets that support the sales goals of OEC. Collaborates across the organization to develop and execute a variety of sales strategies and campaigns that support revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages and leads the Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to accomplish objectives by setting individual and team goals and expectations. Monitors and evaluates performance, provides ongoing coaching, and ensures timely completion of deliverables. Ensures clarity around priorities and that work activities of the team are aligned with strategic goals communicated from senior leadership. Addresses and documents performance issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Promotes the engagement and learning growth of team members. Coaches and develops SDRs to career path into higher level sales roles.
  • Drives SDR quota attainment to provide the sales team with qualified meetings/demonstrations.
  • Collaborates closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing Operations, and Sales Operations to develop and execute campaigns, and refine processes for efficiency.
  • Recruits, hires and onboards new SDR team members. Ensures newly hired employees have the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to be successful at OEC.
  • Partners with department leadership in managing department budget(s). Develops budget recommendations and participates in forecasting and budgeting activities as requested.
Education

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Business Administration or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.

Experience

At least 6 years of experience in sales development and currently in a Team Lead or Senior level sales role, or prior management experience with responsibility for leading a team of direct reports.

Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and create an engaging and positive culture that motivates and empowers others to do great work.
  • Able to effectively train and coach in the areas of cold calling, discovery, activity management, time management, and general skills development.
  • Excellent communication skills and can tailor messaging to a specific audience or call to action.
  • Sound business judgement and strong critical thinking skills to solve for a variety of business challenges.
  • Ability to manage and lead at both a tactical level with direct reports, as well as at a strategic level with OEC leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can effectively promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work and can support direct reports with adjusting to shifts in priorities as the needs of the business change.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented workstyle.
Travel
  • Occasional travel for this role is required and expected to be less than 10% of worktime.
