The Client Tax Reporting Officer will sit within the FCCS team and will support the Head of Client Risk Management in the effective management of CTR activities for WPB UAE
Duties & Responsibilities- Oversee and contribute to the CTR program within the business, working with the relevant country and regional/global stakeholders.
- Liaise with Executive level stakeholders both inside and outside of the CTR Program
- Liaise with CTR program managers and Regional Leads as required.
- Communicate, enable, and mobilize WPB/GPB’s activity required to support its CTR responsibilities.
- Production of stakeholder reports periodically and, on an ad,
-hoc basis to the WPB/GPB CTR and country Execution Lead - Input into communication and training materials spanning internal and external stakeholders ensuring they are fit for purpose.
- Adoption and implementation of common Group processes, aimed at adopting group best practice in the region.
- Oversee CTR Quality Control and Quality Assurance results along with associated remediation.
- To ensure significant, current, and emerging operational risks and internal control issues are escalated appropriately.
- Oversee Audit & 2nd Line of Defense reviews along with associated remediation.
- Support WPB initiatives and provide subject matter expertise to wider FCCS, WPB and Compliance teams where applicable.
- Ensure that internal and external regulatory requirements are met.
- Ensure delivery of outstanding customer service to internal and external parties.
- Build strong relationships, adopting a join-up approach, to support execution of program at pace.
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own personal conduct maintains orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
- Accountable for building lasting, effective team relationships – within FCCS, Compliance and across all stakeholders.
- Provide executive level updates to provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis of the progress on CTR related programs and work streams, the impact on the business and intervention where necessary.
- Analyze stakeholder goals and effectively manage their expectations.
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
- Graduation degree is REQUIRED– to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
- Proven record of effective management in a leadership role, including planning and decision making, identifying priorities, and bringing a wide range of projects to successful completion.
- Strong business understanding of RBWM objectives and operating model as well as Group policies and standards.
- Experience of managing resources in senior roles to achieve objectives using appropriate communication delegation and planning skills.
- Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems whilst maintaining budgets, time scales and quality of output.
- Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and be change oriented.
- Excellent written communication skills – ability to clearly document the current state and the recommendations.
- Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across the Group.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large scale business initiatives– ideally in the regulatory space related to customer account opening/due diligence, within a Retail Banking & Wealth Management context.
