Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the global security strategy for Nasdaq, ensuring alignment with fintech regulatory expectations, business objectives, and organizational resilience across all regions.
- Build, inspire, and empower a high-performing global security organization, including regional leaders and specialized functions, to deliver excellence at scale.
- Represent Nasdaq with government agencies, regulatory bodies, law enforcement partners, and industry peers to strengthen relationships and enhance our security posture.
- Drive integrated risk management and threat intelligence programs in partnership with Cybersecurity, Compliance, Legal, HR, and executive leadership to anticipate and respond to emerging risks.
- Oversee physical security standards, executive protection protocols, insider threat prevention, and travel risk management to safeguard our people and facilities worldwide.
- Champion innovation, operational discipline, and financial accountability across security functions, ensuring adherence to global compliance frameworks while adapting to regional dynamics.
- Extensive leadership experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military intelligence, or government security roles with proven success at a global scale.
- Demonstrated ability to set and execute multi-year security strategies that deliver measurable outcomes in complex, regulated environments.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior leadership on critical security and risk matters.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams across geographies and cultures.
- Deep understanding of governance, regulatory compliance, and global threat landscapes relevant to financial services and technology.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex security issues into clear, actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders.
- Active or ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance and Swedish security clearance.
- Experience establishing security programs in fintech, capital markets, or similarly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, cyber threat intelligence platforms, and geopolitical risk monitoring tools.

The base pay range for this role is $143,000 - $279,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
