As a senior leader at Nasdaq, you will be accountable for shaping and executing strategies that advance our position as a global technology company powering markets and economies. In this role, you will establish and lead our enterprise-wide security strategy, overseeing physical security, corporate security operations, executive protection, incident response, insider threat programs, travel risk management, and crisis management across all global offices and operations.

You'll thrive in this position if you bring executive presence, strategic clarity, and the ability to mobilize diverse teams toward a common vision while protecting our people, assets, and operations in complex, high-stakes environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the global security strategy for Nasdaq, ensuring alignment with fintech regulatory expectations, business objectives, and organizational resilience across all regions.
  • Build, inspire, and empower a high-performing global security organization, including regional leaders and specialized functions, to deliver excellence at scale.
  • Represent Nasdaq with government agencies, regulatory bodies, law enforcement partners, and industry peers to strengthen relationships and enhance our security posture.
  • Drive integrated risk management and threat intelligence programs in partnership with Cybersecurity, Compliance, Legal, HR, and executive leadership to anticipate and respond to emerging risks.
  • Oversee physical security standards, executive protection protocols, insider threat prevention, and travel risk management to safeguard our people and facilities worldwide.
  • Champion innovation, operational discipline, and financial accountability across security functions, ensuring adherence to global compliance frameworks while adapting to regional dynamics.
Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive leadership experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military intelligence, or government security roles with proven success at a global scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute multi-year security strategies that deliver measurable outcomes in complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior leadership on critical security and risk matters.
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams across geographies and cultures.
  • Deep understanding of governance, regulatory compliance, and global threat landscapes relevant to financial services and technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex security issues into clear, actionable guidance for diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active or ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance and Swedish security clearance.
  • Experience establishing security programs in fintech, capital markets, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, cyber threat intelligence platforms, and geopolitical risk monitoring tools.

The base pay range for this role is $143,000 - $279,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
