Managing Quantity Surveyor

Lead a £10m Rail Portfolio. Shape a Team. Drive Commercial Success.

If you’re an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor looking for real ownership, this role gives you the chance to lead the commercial function on a portfolio of Rail projects worth around £10m per year. Expect a mix of new-build and refurbishment schemes across stations, platforms, car parks and canopies—fast‑moving, varied and commercially engaging.

You’ll head up a team of eight QS professionals and be the driving force behind forecasting, risk management and NEC contract oversight. We’re looking for someone who has previously worked in the Rail sector, who can think independently, build strong relationships and bring out the best in their team.

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will:

* Have a strong understanding of NEC form of contract.

* Have experience in managing and developing team members

* Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management

* Be experienced of working in the Rail sector

Location/Travel expectations:
You will spend one day a week in offices in both Swindon and Bristol as well as spending time on sites across the region.

Hybrid options:
Flexibility of home working depending on project needs.

Salary band: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum
