a delivery manager (dm) is responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of eastwall staff engaged with clients across multiple projects and serves as the single point-of-contact for client and project leadership. This is an associate level (depending on experience) role.
responsibilities- project backlog development: during the sales-to-delivery handoff, you will create project mobilization and kickoff presentations to shepherd the project into our delivery organization. This includes developing requirements from our statement of work contracts into granular team tasks, producing detailed project work plans. Execute refinement of the backlog at key milestones in the engagement to keep projects on-time and on-budget.
- project management: lead a team of engineers, architects, and principal consultants in a matrixed organization to deliver successful project outcomes. Track status in a traditional rag (red, amber, green) model and communicate that status weekly.
- risk management: through daily and weekly project management activities, you will mitigate risks to keep projects “green”. Communication between external and internal teams will be critical to make necessary trade-offs between short-term customer requirements and contractual deliverables to meet customer expectations within the scope and budget of the committed project. Risks will be managed in a traditional ridac log and must be communicated & managed effectively.
- stakeholder management: manage stakeholder expectations by anticipating needs, removing obstacles, addressing risks early, and communicating effectively. Advise executive stakeholders on future roadmaps, drive adoption, and ensure customer retention and growth.
- reporting: quantify and track value metrics that can be realized from eastwall solutions and overall project success criteria through internal project management tools, budget management tools and internal customer tools (when applicable).
- quality management: refine or adjust deliverables to ensure that all projects within the eastwall portfolio consistently support high-quality documentation and presentation standards. Ensure that peer review, timely deliverable handoff, and final signoff processes are followed for all eastwall deliverables in alignment with contractual acceptance criteria.
- scope and cost management: work with sales, finance, and principal consultants to coordinate the delivery of projects with microsoft funding requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
- 1-3 years in a fast-paced systems integrator or consulting organization. Candidates without experience in consulting or services organizations should not apply.
- experience managing a portfolio of projects with accountability for all aspects of the project lifecycle, especially engagements involving application development, cloud implementations, and cross-disciplinary department coordination.
- demonstrated ability in one or more project delivery disciplines. Certification in one or more delivery methodologies is preferred but not required.
- a college degree in technical or business disciplines is preferred but not required.
- proficient in microsoft power point, excel, and word.
- high degree of emotional intelligence (eq) and strong conflict resolution abilities.
- focus on understanding customers deeply and fostering close relationships with users and their organizational needs.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, taking a “total ownership” stance on the customer and the outcomes delivered by eastwall.
- new hires in this role will complete the following certifications within the first twelve weeks of hire.
- this is a client-facing consulting role that has a weekly utilization target of 100%.
- this role can be expected to travel within the continental united states up to 10%, at times monthly.
- hybrid role: in-office at least two days per week (lakewood or highlands ranch)
- competitive salary with bonuses paid quarterly. The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 usd depending on experience.
