This position is based in INF Associates’ NYC office and requires regular presence in the office and at project sites. Limited remote work may be permitted on occasional basis, subject to business needs and manager approval.

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 annually

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of electrical and renewable energy construction projects ranging from $1M to $5M in value. This role requires an experienced construction professional who can independently manage several concurrent projects from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong command of cost control, scheduling, subcontractor management, and owner communication. The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with electrical infrastructure, construction projects, renewable energy, and utility coordination.

This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Project Execution & Delivery
  • Manage all phases of construction projects from award through final closeout, including preconstruction planning, procurement, field execution, commissioning, and warranty administration.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent scheduling software; perform critical path analysis and manage schedule recovery when required.
  • Prepare, review, and process AIA contract documents including G702/G703 Applications for Payment, G701 Change Orders, G704 Certificates of Substantial Completion, and related standard forms.
  • Establish and manage project budgets, track cost-to-complete forecasts, and produce monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports with accurate cost and revenue projections.
  • Manage project financials including billings, cash flow projections, change order logs, and earned value analysis.
  • Negotiate, execute, and administer subcontracts and purchase orders with appropriate flow-down provisions, insurance requirements, and scope definitions.
  • Review and interpret prime contract terms, identify risk exposure, and ensure contractual compliance across all project stakeholders.
  • Manage the change order process end-to-end: identify scope changes, prepare detailed cost proposals with backup documentation, negotiate with owners, and track through approval and billing.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including daily logs, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety plans; conduct or coordinate regular safety audits.
Stakeholder & Field Coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, architects, utilities, and municipal agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with utility companies (e.g., Con Edison, National Grid, local utilities) on service applications, funding and grant applications, interconnection agreements, meter installations, and shutdowns.
  • Lead project meetings including OAC meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and internal progress reviews.
  • Supervise and direct subcontractor performance in the field; manage quality control inspections and punch list resolution.
  • Coordinate permitting, inspections, and regulatory approvals with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
Reporting & Systems
  • Produce monthly project status reports including schedule updates, cost reports, change logs, WIP reporting, and narrative summaries for executive review.
