Allison Outdoor Advertising has a rare opening for a General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead our Company's Sales Team here in Western North Carolina/Georgia/Tennessee. The company has been a part of WNC since 1958 with premiere static and digital inventory in the markets that we serve. This is a player/coach leadership role—supporting and developing 4 Account Executives while driving revenue growth across our static + digital billboard inventory.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Coach and lead a team of 4 AEs through weekly 1:1s, ride-alongs, pipeline reviews, and skill development
- Drive revenue, occupancy, and yield with strong pricing discipline and consistent execution
- Help reps improve prospecting, proposals, negotiation, and closing behaviors
- Maintain and grow a book of agency accounts and support major pitches/negotiations as needed
- Own budgeting
, forecasting and pacing. - Partner with Operations to ensure a healthy relationship between Operations and Sales Team with regards to posting and vegetation removal.
- Build relationships with local advertisers, agencies, and community partners across the markets we serve.
- Recruit and Hire any new sales talent.
- Be a part of the Executive Team at Allison Outdoor Advertising, which helps guide the future direction of the company
- The team hits targets while improving occupancy and yield
- Forecasts are accurate, CRM is clean, and renewals are protected through great service
- Holding the sales team accountable as well as being held accountable
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience (media/advertising/OOH preferred)
- 2+ years of sales leadership or team lead experience with a proven coaching track record
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Confident using CRM and pipeline metrics to manage performance
- The Candidate needs to be able to commute daily to the home office
- Ability to travel locally across Western North Carolina (valid driver’s license required)
Preferred: OOH/billboard experience (static + digital) and local/regional advertiser or agency relationships.
