Airswift is working in partnership with a global leader in surface preparation and industrial coatings company which is now looking for a Field Service Manager.
Job LocationUSA (On‑Site)
Travel RequirementsThis position follows a swing‑style schedule and requires full travel flexibility. When assigned to a project, the FSM is expected to mobilize as needed and remain on site for the duration of the assignment.
Reports To(Director of Operations)
The Field Service Manager (FSM) leads and works alongside field crews performing industrial cleaning, maintenance, and coating services. This role combines frontline leadership with hands‑on operational responsibilities. The FSM ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of all field activities while serving as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
Skills- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience supervising field service crews
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Strong computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, and reporting
- Client and corporate representation experience
- Lead and manage field crews to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on all assigned projects.
- Provide daily updates, progress reports, and completion estimates to customers and internal teams.
- Perform site inspections and sign off on required permits, scaffolding tags, and work orders.
- Conduct and document daily toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, task lists, and equipment logs.
- Oversee trailer inventory, equipment condition, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Experience with consultative selling and through value driven by quality service to clients
- Value Selling Mindset and Strategy (Must be able to articulate examples). Close and follow on work examples.
- Strong communication skills to similar sized crews. Must also be able to communicate to senior leadership.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong interpersonal and coordination skills. Must exhibit the ability to achieve Face‑to‑Face meetings with clients to find solutions.
- Professionalism and integrity. Remote working environment so ability to work autonomously is key.
