Role Overview
The IPS Team Leader will manage a team of up to 10 Employment Specialists employed by Shaw Trust. Providing supervision, training, caseload management, and role modelling of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, as part of the holistic recovery plan for mental health clients. The IPS Team Leader will provide a pivotal role in managing a high-quality service that meets fidelity standards and delivers positive outcomes for service users.
Providing vision and direction you will work with the IPS Service Manager and the Senior IPS Operations Lead in the development of our Individual Placement and Support Service. Making sure our clients receive the best service to meet their particular needs, you will be comfortable in managing contracts against our agreed service objectives and outcomes. Uppermost in your mind, will be building strong collaborative working arrangements with an extensive partnership network across our communities.
Working with the IPS Service Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing delivery performance, building service capability, capacity and quality. You also will provide skilful relationship management ensuring positive and productive relationships are maintained.
An ability to champion and embrace change is essential. An understanding of how the development of community-based services and the integration of health and social care impacts the lives of people with mental health challenges would be advantageous.
This is a community‑based role with some home working. You will spend your time in your clinical hubs and providing support to your team including collaboration with clinical hubs, observations, field mentoring, employer engagement and referral generation.
Qualifications- Relevant experience of working with people with mental health support needs, or a similar group within health, social services or the voluntary sector (E)
- Relevant experience working in employment services (E)
- Proven experience of meeting and exceeding outcomes and targets, and performance management methodologies (E)
- Strong networking abilities (E)
- Experience of managing multiple tasks at any one time (E)
- Experience of staff supervision, management and/or mentoring (E)
- Experience of managing change effectively and facilitating innovation (E)
- Experience of delivering training (E)
