Overview
We are looking for a motivated, professional Chartered Surveyor / Valuer to join our Assets team within the Economy & Regeneration Service. You will play a key role in delivering valuation and assets management services that support strategic development across Ceredigion.
Responsibilities- Undertaking valuations for all types of property transactions
- Leading the Council's annual asset valuation cycle
- Providing expert advice to internal services and partners
- Negotiating acquisitions, disposals, wayleaves and easements
- Identifying new income opportunities and improving portfolio performance
- Guiding and supporting other team members
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and a passion for supporting the economic growth of Ceredigion.

Food Centre Wales and supporting Agri‑Food development;
Tourism promotion and development;
Tourist Information Centres;
Coast and Countryside - Planning Services:
Supporting growth through Planning and Building Control Services;
Strategic and Local Land Use Planning Policy;
Development Management;
Building Control; and Land Searches. - Property Services:
Supporting the Council's programme through Project Management;
Property and Building Maintenance;
Facilities Management;
Carbon Management; and the Efficient Use of Council Property.

Qualifications- Professionally qualified (MRICS + Registered Valuer)
- Experienced in valuation and estate management
- Confident working independently and managing a varied workload
- Skilled in negotiation and stakeholder engagement
- Politically aware and customer‑focused
- Able to travel throughout the county as required (full UK driving licence)
Welsh language skills at Level 3 are essential on appointment or must be achieved within two years.
