POSITION OVERVIEW

The Reunion Giving and Engagement Manager is integral to the success of The Westminster Schools’ advancement program. This is a unique opportunity to work with a committed alumni base with a strong history of engagement and support. The successful candidate will guide and motivate alumni volunteers across all decades, providing leadership to ever‑evolving annual giving trends and strategies. Goals include increasing donor support in terms of dollars raised and overall participation, deepening alumni engagement, and advancing internal performance at one of the country’s leading K‑12 independent schools.

The Reunion Giving and Engagement Manager develops and executes innovative strategies to engage, inform, and inspire Westminster alumni celebrating special anniversaries with the School. This leader will advance the School’s Reunion program and help ensure a differentiated and valuable experience for alumni.

The Manager will partner with and collaborate with all of Westminster’s Office for Institutional Advancement (OIA) members, particularly the Director of Annual Giving and the Annual Giving Team, as well as members of OIA’s Alumni Engagement and Leadership Giving Teams. The Manager will also form close partnerships with on‑campus community members and alumni volunteers.

Hours of Work
:
Monday through Friday; core hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Eligible for Remote Work Arrangement.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience or a combination of education and work experience in related fields.
  • Experience in annual giving, volunteer management, or communications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written; ability to work and communicate effectively with diverse constituents in a dynamic organizational environment.
  • Well‑developed strategic, critical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to function independently with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to take the lead on multi‑functional projects.
  • Excellent technical skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and Google tools. Knowledge and experience with a Mac environment are preferred.
  • Prior database and project management software experience, Raiser’s Edge and Asana preferred.
  • Motivated to meet deadlines in a time‑sensitive and fluid environment while paying attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partners with the Director of Annual Giving to evaluate and measure the success of reunion strategies focused on engagement, fundraising, communications, volunteer training, and retention.
  • Partners with the Director of Annual Giving and Advancement Operations to evaluate donor behavior and fundraising goals to determine suggested donation amounts for alumni in Reunion years.
  • Monitors Reunion metrics and partners with the Director of Annual Giving to refine strategies as needed.
  • Coordinates and oversees a robust Reunion Giving program. Provides valuable insights to gift officers as they solicit leadership reunion gifts. Facilitates peer‑to‑peer fundraising among alumni volunteers and their classmates.
