The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of associates who respond directly to phone and written inquiries from our branch offices and/or clients and for Tailored Branch Support teams, also partnering with our branches in CST type support. Inquiries span a wide variety of the firm's products, services and technology solutions. The Team Leader is responsible for associates working in the Home Office as well as a group of home‑based associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing world class service and setting high quality service expectations, communicating department and team goals/objectives and managing workflow through the use of applicable systems, statistical analysis and reporting
  • Effectively allocating firm resources to accomplish work in the most efficient and cost effective manner
  • Ensuring associates receive adequate training, have the necessary resources to complete their work and maintain a working proficiency in the topics supported by the department. The Team Leader may also assist in workflow as needed
  • The Team Leader must provide strong leadership by creating an environment based on trust, open communication, creative thinking, and a cohesive team effort
  • The Team Leader is responsible for providing associates timely and relevant feedback regarding individual performance through quality reviews, one‑on‑one sessions, trimester and annual reviews and bonus discussions. The ability to coach and mentor associates on personal and career development goals is a critical component in managing associate performance.
  • The Team Leader is responsible for focusing team efforts on high‑priority actions that directly support firm, division and departmental goals and strategies. This requires the Team Leader to apply discipline in planning and organizing, as well as collaborating with associates in the department and across multiple areas of the firm.
  • The Team Leader works in partnership with other stakeholders on projects to support the needs of the Canada Business Unit and our branch teams. He or she must effectively communicate with the team on purpose and scope of a project and how it aligns with firm and division objectives.
  • The Team Leader is also responsible for identifying and advancing opportunities to improve operational efficiency and/or enhance the branch, client, and associate experience.
Education/Certification
  • University degree or equivalent experience required. Concentration in business, accounting, finance or management is preferred
Experience
  • 3‑5 years of relevant industry experience in a service or operations capacity
  • Prior experience leading a team of dynamic associates is preferred.
