What You’ll Be Doing (Position Summary):
The Director Learning Advisory reporting into Head of HR, CIBC India, is accountable for building strong relationships with business leaders and HR business partners in the designated SBU for their portfolio. They will lead a team of Learning Advisors, Learning Consultants (LC), Learning Specialists, Delivery (LSD) and Sr. Specialist (Coordination) that will consult on talent needs, understand learning trends and analyze metrics to enable learning every day and drive business results.
Working closely with business leaders and key stakeholders, this role will drive the overall learning strategy for their respective SBU and support the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning plan(s) in alignment with CIBC’s Learning Strategy and the SBU’s strategic priorities. They will also support the implementation of CIBC Enterprise learning offers and lead the development and maintenance of New Hire Orientation Programs applying and reinforcing design principles that will enable learners to be job-ready faster and embody a client-focused purpose.

How You’ll Succeed (Responsibilities):
Understand SBU’s current and emerging business needs, priorities and market trends in order to act within the business context.
Build strong relationships with business leaders and HR business partners to ensure that the learning is deployed for priority business initiatives and to build capability for the future.
Cultivate a strong culture of coaching to a high-performance team focused on ongoing development that is anchored in our purpose, leadership mindset and learning agility to help advance CIBC’s strategy and transformation.
Negotiate and manage timelines, funding requirements and balance conflicting priorities and resources to ensure the learning objectives of the SBU are met.
Build and co-own annual or multi-year learning plans with the business aligned to CIBC and SBU strategies, ensuring a balance of experience, exposure, and education.
Support and guide the execution of CIBC Learning strategy and align learning design and solutions to Talent Development’s strategic imperative (Get there Faster, Make it Stick, Measure Impact).
Champion innovative, interactive, and engaging learning, e-learning courses, and virtual programs based on performance learning objectives.
Support CIBC’s approach to building digital leadership capabilities as well as enhancing innovative approaches to online learning.
Develop a standard implementation plan including detailed roadmap for success with key milestones for all induction programs.
Own and manage all induction process maps and procedures, and identify enterprise content.
Establish strong internal relationships across the talent development team to ensure that business partners needs are fulfilled effectively and efficiently.
Build sponsor engagement and commitment for key learning initiatives utilizing the concepts of build, curate, and leverage.
Influence key stakeholders to integrate learning solutions into change management plans to sustain new / enhanced capabilities.
