Overview

Portfolio Manager - Residential (Houses & Flats, West London) We are recruiting for an experienced Portfolio Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a single, large portfolio landlord with a mix of houses and flats across West London
.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys owning their portfolio, delivering a high standard of service, and building long-term landlord and tenant relationships. The position offers a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in a Central London office and 2 days working from home
.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of a designated residential portfolio
  • Proactive coordination of repairs, maintenance, and contractor performance, including specifying, tendering, and supervising works where required
  • Regular inspection of properties and buildings, maintaining accurate inspection reports and health & safety records
  • Ensuring full compliance with landlord & tenant legislation and current health & safety regulations
  • Managing pre- and post-tenancy matters, including minor refurbishments
  • Acting as a key liaison with tenants, residents, and relevant stakeholders, attending meetings as required
  • Overseeing rent collection queries, service charge matters, and approving invoices for completed works
  • Maintaining and updating property management systems and records
  • Producing clear management information and reports for internal stakeholders and clients
  • Sharing knowledge across the team and contributing to best practice
  • Attending industry and networking events and keeping up to date with market developments
About you
  • Proven experience managing residential (or mixed-use) property portfolios
  • Strong knowledge of landlord & tenant legislation, compliance, and best practice
  • Confident managing maintenance, contractors, and refurbishment works
  • Comfortable working directly with portfolio landlords and handling high levels of responsibility
  • ARLA, IRPM, or a similar professional qualification (or working towards)
  • Organised, proactive, and service-driven, with excellent communication skills
