The Penny Saver is an outstanding advertising vehicle in print and on-line. We offer our customers advertising power, as well as value. We are looking for a regional manager in our San Fernando Valley region.
Summary:
Implements and executes sales plan in order to maximize sales potential and meet or exceed sales objectives. Directs all sales activities within region. Manages account and revenue productivity of Account Executives, inside or outside, within established company guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages to assigned revenue budget and implements strategic sales and marketing plans in order to achieve company goals.
Manages performance of Account Executives to established standards including but not limited to; account growth, revenue performance, Internet product sales.
Monitors the competition - customers, activities, delivery, and product. Analyzes competitive data, and develops aggressive game plan.
Assesses, develops and trains Account Executives within region.
Observes and coaches Account Executives on effective sales practices and techniques specific to field or telemarketing sales.
Evaluates performance of Account Executives with region.
Recruits and selects highly qualified associates.
Manages and provides effective leadership to a remote work force, as needed.
Utilizes high competency level at direct sales, with customers and Account Executives, to include:
Sales Presentations
Negotiation
Relationship Management
Closing the Sale
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving expertise in customer relationship management
Analyzes sales activity statistics to formulate game plan to achieve regional targets.
Communicates expectations and results in a clear, concise, credible, and timely manner with superiors, subordinates, and customers
Represents Company at trade association or similar meetings to promote Penny Saver.
Acts as liaison between region and other functional departments
Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, sales activity, target accounts, competitive activity, and areas of proposed client and/or revenue base expansion.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Account Executives within assigned region. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. As a Data Steward, responsible for regional compliance as it relates to the protection of sensitive personal information and security

Education And/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.) from four-year college or university; and/or minimum one to two years sales management experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Direct Sales Experience Required
Prior sales management experience preferred
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate,…
