Position: Director, Team Lead - Global Scientific & Value Content - Immunology (Remote)

Overview

Role Summary

The Director, Team Lead - Global Scientific and Value Content for Immunology is a headquarters-based leadership role within the Value & Implementation (V&I) organization, including Global Medical and Scientific Affairs and Outcomes Research. The role resides in V&I GMVC and reports to the Executive Director Head of GSVC as a member of the GSVC leadership team. The position involves partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to align strategic priorities, developing and executing GSVC plans, incorporating medical insights, driving team effectiveness, and implementing industry standards.

Responsibilities

and Leadership
  • Strategic and Tactical Leadership: Provide leadership, resources and direction to a group of professionals with advanced educational backgrounds and therapeutic area expertise.
  • Development and Execution of GSVC Plans: Oversee the development and execution of GSVC plans for TAs in alignment with the Annual V&I Plans and the Scientific Platform. Lead the team in translating Global Medical objectives into scientific content strategy and plans. Represent GSVC as TA/product point of contact for senior stakeholders to obtain input into plans and identify gaps/needs by regions and countries.
  • Medical Insights: Lead the incorporation of medical insights and stakeholder feedback into the GSVC annual product plans and related content.
  • Team Effectiveness: Collaborate with the Executive Director, leadership team, and peers to drive TA team effectiveness, assess and adjust TA resourcing, sponsor change, and foster innovation while supporting professional and personal development of team members.
  • Operational Solutions and Process Improvements: Lead or commission development of operational solutions and process improvements to ensure consistency across core functions.
Responsibilities and Primary Activities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage individuals/teams responsible for content development in a global, cross-functional setting. Represent Immunology GSVC at company, divisional and V&I initiatives.
  • Strategic and Tactical

    Skills:

    Develops and executes strategic and tactical plans for scientific content and value communication.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage senior-level stakeholders and obtain input into plans.
  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Analyze metrics and insights to inform plans and deliverables.
  • Process Improvement: Develop operational solutions and SOPs; collect global best practices and update global GSVC processes. Ensure content assets align with key internal processes. Serve as sponsor or lead on GSVC work streams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build relationships across divisions and regions; align scientific content strategy with partners (e.g., Publications, Clinical, Health Economics, Outcomes Research). Ensure timely availability of compliant resources for Medical Information and Field Medical teams; lead complex cross-functional initiatives in support of GSVC and V&I objectives.
Additional Key and Enterprise Leadership Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Direct daily tasks and operations of team members, providing guidance and ensuring productivity and engagement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication and alignment with key stakeholders up and downstream.
  • Performance Enhancement: Address challenges and opportunities to enhance performance and support leadership development.
Required Qualifications , Skills and Experience
  • Advanced degree (Pharm

    D/PhD/MD) plus a minimum of eight (8) years in Medical Affairs/Medical Communications/Scientific Content Development; OR a Master’s Degree in Life Sciences plus at least ten (10) years in relevant medical communications.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of people management or project management experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Immunology therapeutic area.
  • Project and Vendor Management: Proficient in managing projects and vendors with persuasive skills and ability to lead without direct authority across diverse stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal and Communication
