, you will oversee strategic sales initiatives, manage key client relationships, and lead a high-performing team to achieve outstanding results. Your expertise will help shape the future of our properties, ensuring we remain competitive in the marketplace and continue to exceed revenue goals. This role supports our West Coast property portfolio and requires candidates to be based in California. Team members located near our Newport Beach office will work in a hybrid environment, while remote work is supported for those based elsewhere in the state.
This role requires up to 75% travel. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates relocating to the Newport Beach office.
Salary: $160,000 - $170,000.
Your RoleAs our Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, you’ll be responsible for driving hotel revenue administration and strategic sales functions. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee hotel revenue operations and strategic initiatives, including revenue assurance, pricing, billing, and inventory across multiple properties.
- Lead and coach the sales team in effective selling techniques to ensure individual sales goals are achieved.
- Make sales appointments and cold calls to prospect new accounts across all direct sales segments.
- Regularly contact existing accounts based on tracing frequencies to maintain strong relationships.
- Monitor production of top accounts and evaluate trends in your market, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Host clients for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections to showcase our properties.
- Implement special promotions, such as sales blitzes, to drive direct sales and maximize revenue.
- Lead and participate in daily and weekly sales meetings to review strategies and progress.
- Ensure employees consistently provide attentive, friendly, and courteous service to guests and colleagues.
- Attend monthly all-employee meetings and other management functions as required.
- Handle inquiries as part of the Inquiry Day Program to generate new business leads.
- Meet and greet onsite contacts to foster relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience is required.
- Regional-level experience overseeing multiple hotels (including full-service) is required.
- Exposure across multiple hotels and brands. Experience with independent hotels and brands such as Hilton or Marriott are required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is a plus.
- Must be proficient with Windows operating systems and sales software.
- Must have valid driver’s license for applicable state and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
