Salary: £38,000 per annum – full-time 37.5 hours per week.
Contract: Fixed term for 12 months (with the potential to extend to 24 or 36 months, subject to funding, which is not guaranteed).
Location: Home-based in and covering the North of England region (with regular regional travel and occasional national travel).
About Fighting With PrideFighting With Pride is the Armed Forces LGBTQ+ charity, supporting and representing LGBTQ+ Veterans, serving personnel and their families. We provide trauma-informed support to Veterans affected by the ban on LGBTQ+ service (1967–2000) and work nationally to build inclusive Armed Forces services.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a proactive, dynamic, experienced and values-driven Community Team Manager to lead and develop our remote national Community Team. Reporting to the Chief Executive you will also provide direct support and community engagement across the North of England. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how FWP supports Veterans, builds partnerships and grows its influence nationally.
Your Responsibilities- Lead, motivate and develop a national remote team.
- Oversee high-quality, trauma-informed support for LGBTQ+ Veterans.
- Act as first point of contact for new Veterans.
- Ensure safeguarding, governance and quality standards.
- Build partnerships with Armed Forces, LGBTQ+ and statutory organisations.
- Lead outreach and community engagement in the North of England.
- Promote and deliver the Pride in Veterans Standard.
You will be an inspiring, collaborative and confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will have experience managing remote teams, supporting people affected by trauma or discrimination, and working with or alongside the LGBTQ+ and/or Armed Forces community (or the ability to demonstrate closely relevant experience). You will bring strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication skills and a commitment to Fighting With Pride’s values.
