A Day in the Life

The Director, Key Account Manager will be responsible for the complete strategic vision and execution of account strategy and overall retail account management to build profitability and grow market share. The individual will maintain strong relationships with senior management at retail partners and effectively negotiates for space, location, exposure, etc. The incumbent will oversee the National Accounts BU team to support assigned retailer accounts.

Responsible for the sell-in of a forecasted dollar volume and mix of products into the retail account.

  • Identifies applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to lead others to solve complex problems; provides advice on a wide range of issues within area of subject matter expertise

  • May lead programs/multiple projects and/or diverse functional teams

  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic framework for promotional calendar, launches, ensuring optimal execution in store.
  • Responsible for retail & net sales goals for assigned retailer accounts
  • Build and maintain strategic partnership with all retailer accounts
  • Manage the overall and individual P&L for all assigned retailer and wholesale accounts
  • Lead in buy negotiations in partnership with National Account leads
  • Oversee strategy and execution for the overall stock levels and ensure appropriate product mix of stock is available in the stores by assuring timely ordering, proactively monitoring and resolving low or out of stock conditions
  • Control and update stock and sales plan, product and GWP returns
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly and annual forecast and plans for both dotcom and B&M
  • Analyze and define the growth levers relevant to customer with specific focus on the shopper so selling is through shopper insights
  • Partner with the partner with CGO Commercial Planning team and BU Business Development O+O team
  • Partner with cross functional teams (marketing, sales operations, demand planning, education, etc.) on building account specific marketing plans for gaining market share
  • Create a positive culture and environment that inspires and motivates a high performing team.
