Position summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Events Associate to help Students For Liberty promote the Human Respect Project (see below). The Human Respect Events Associate will be responsible for promoting, guiding, supervising, and approving a series of events and trainings to promote awareness of the Human Respect philosophy and planning future activities that will further disseminate this awareness. The associate will report to the Human Respect Project Manager.

Responsibilities
  • To demonstrate sufficient understanding of the philosophy of Human Respect to function as the internal go-to for questions about how to develop the required events, trainings, and discussions, focusing on the development of the main goals.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within budget;
  • Coordinate with various SFL regions’ associates to leverage in the development of all required events;
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training, workshops, and sessions that help students and team members advance their learning on Human Respect and its application to daily living, as well as broader policy implications.
  • Guide and supervise the continued development of students’ events related to the philosophy of Human Respect;
  • Contribute to the creation and review of educational materials, articles, and resources related to Human Respect;
  • Other minor duties that may be assigned or developed over the course of this project
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and soft skills
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to be autonomous and entrepreneurial
  • Full proficiency in English.
    • French, Spanish, and Portuguese would be a plus
  • Demonstrated philosophical background and expertise
  • High level of Word, Excel, Powerpoint proficiency
  • Proficiency with G Suite
  • Experience in events management
  • Experience in group creation and management
  • Experience in speaking at events
  • Willingness and ability (visa eligible) to travel periodically to Brazil, Latin America, Europe, and the United States

In the cover letter, please include your interest in the Philosophy of Human Respect, your interest in the role, and a step-by-step plan on how would you would manage competing priorities to get to 250 events organized and data collected globally.
