Director, Benefits Administration - Remote
Abound Health is seeking a Director, Benefits Administration to join our People & Engagement team. This role reports to the Chief People & Engagement Officer. In this position, you will lead the strategic design, governance, and execution of all employee benefit programs across Abound Health and its affiliated organizations. You will ensure plans are competitive, compliant, data-driven, and operationally strong while supporting our multi-state workforce.
This role is remote.
- Lead strategy, design, and oversight of medical, dental, vision, wellness, life, disability, ancillary, and 401(k) programs.
- Ensure full compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and state-specific regulations.
- Direct benefits-related M&A activities including diligence, integration, and harmonization.
- Oversee broker, carrier, TPA, and vendor relationships, ensuring strong service delivery and compliance.
- Manage the Benefits Administration System, ensuring data accuracy and seamless integrations.
- Serve as primary internal leader for 401(k) fiduciary oversight, plan performance, and compliance.
- Lead enterprise-wide Open Enrollment strategy, communications, and execution.
- Analyze benefit trends, utilization, and cost drivers; deliver insights to executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement, process efficiency, automation, and strong internal controls.
- Provide technical guidance and partnership to HR, Finance, Payroll, and Operations leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Advanced degree or CEBS certification strongly preferred (PHR/SPHR a plus).
- 7–10 years of progressive benefits administration experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience managing comprehensive benefits and retirement plans in multi-state environments.
- Deep knowledge of benefits compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting M&A benefits diligence and integration strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into insights.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced credentials preferred.
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $90,000 - $110,000.
Base pay is determined by factors such as work location, experience, skills, and relevant training.We offer a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive medical, dental, and wellness benefits beginning on your 60th day of employment.
