Position Overview

The Regional Manager of Field Operations leads new program implementation and upholds operations standards to ensure consistent execution of the off-price strategy in Burlington’s stores.

The role partners with Regional VPs and District Managers across multiple regions to get stores on-process from receiving to customer experience. The core responsibility is to introduce and sustain process and tool changes to drive operational excellence in stores. While relying on influencing stakeholders through expertise, success in the role means delivering on KPIs from back-of-the-house productivity to sales floor efficiency.

The right individual will be a great problem solver, coach and trainer, collaborator, and communicator with experience in store operations and field at national scale retailers.

A Day In The Life
  • Train and coach Regional VPs and District Managers on store processes and provide ongoing support on best practices. Identify under-performing stores and districts, diagnose issues, partner with Regional VPs to address gaps, and follow up to resolve and/or elevate issues.

  • Provide input to home office teams on systematic operational challenges to inform chain‑widesolutions and inform change management plans.

  • Roll out programs and introduce new processes to Field and Stores with feet on the ground for managing change. Validate store readiness, resolve/escalate issues, define backup plans, monitor post‑launch results, and intervene in struggling markets to make change stick.

  • Lead in‑store execution of new process and tool tests, diagnose issues, and improve solutions as well as launch processes. Surface improvements to existing SOPs and tools.

  • Partner with Real Estate, New Store Ops, and other functions to ensure operational readiness to open new stores and relocations. Coach field leaders to resolve issues and get new stores on‑process from the Grand Opening.

  • Represent Ops standards and culture of excellence and accountability in stores. Be the process expert and the first line of support for stores and field. Conduct market assessments, create action plans and support execution.

  • Partner closely with Regional VPs and District Managers to drive the business in each market through operational excellence.

You'll Come With
  • B.A./M.S. in operations, business, engineering, finance or related field

  • 10 years of experience in retail

  • 5 years of experience in store operations and/or field with increasing responsibility in a multi‑site environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and launching operational initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence and coaching

  • Experience in leading change management programs at a 100+ store scale
