Who you are:The Payroll Manager is a detail‑oriented payroll professional who takes pride in supporting teams through accurate, timely pay and thoughtful service. You bring experience with full‑cycle payroll for hourly, salaried, and tipped employees and understand the importance of compliance in a multi‑state environment.
You communicate clearly, partner easily with HR and operations, and serve as a trusted resource for employee questions. Organized, calm under deadlines, the Payroll Manager is excited to own payroll processes and contribute to a culture rooted in Enlightened Hospitality.
What you’ll do:- Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders that supports our business objectives and growth
- Partner with the Senior Director of Payroll and Benefits in owning the full payroll process for our teams, from onboarding, pay changes, tips, adjustments, and final checks – ensuring payments are accurate and on time
- Support payroll reporting and compliance across labor, PTO, benefits, and required filings, keeping records accurate and up to date
- Be a trusted resource for employees, answering pay‑related questions, distributing paychecks securely, and handling sensitive information with discretion
- Uphold USHG standards by staying organized, maintaining clean and efficient work spaces, following established systems and policies, and pitching in on additional accounting needs as they arise
- Proven expertise in payroll processing and benefits administration, particularly within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Proficiency in payroll systems including UKG
- Effective organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to address employee concerns and collaborate across departments
