We are recruiting an experienced Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (or an aspiring Registered Manager ready for registration) to lead the launch and day-to-day management of a new 3-bed children’s residential home in Walsall.

This Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home role offers the opportunity to build a service from the ground up, embed a strong safeguarding culture, and deliver outstanding, child-centred care. Full support will be provided through the Ofsted registration process by a supportive senior leadership team, with future progression opportunities including dual registration.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the setup, Ofsted registration, and opening of the service

* Provide strong leadership, including staff recruitment, training, and supervision

* Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations (2015)

* Oversee safeguarding, quality assurance, and Regulation 44 & 45 processes

* Manage budgets, resources, and external professional relationships

Requirements

* Leadership experience within children’s residential care

* Strong knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding regulations

* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards) desirable

Working Pattern & Benefits
