Social Value Lead – Portfolio Office
Major Client Programme
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our major client’s Portfolio Office teams as a Social Value Lead
. You will shape, develop, and lead the delivery of meaningful social value through our supply chain, creating measurable benefits for communities, stakeholders, and wider society.
- Carry out community needs assessments and community landscaping to understand local priorities and identify impactful social value initiatives.
- Develop and deliver a social impact plan focused on skills and employability
, identifying delivery partners and opportunities to secure additional funding. - Manage project plans, budgets, and resources to ensure effective and timely delivery of social value initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders to identify opportunities aligned to social impact objectives.
- Promote good governance and ensure social value policies, standards, and inclusive growth practices are embedded and followed.
- Monitor, measure, and report on social value performance using recognised frameworks such as Social Value Portal and TOMS
. - Prepare reports and updates for Social Value Committee members and senior stakeholders.
- Produce case studies and impact reports to communicate measurable outcomes to a wide range of audiences.
- Foster a culture of social responsibility by promoting awareness, delivering training, and encouraging participation across employees and the supply chain.
- Support internal teams and suppliers with the skills and knowledge needed to maximise social value outputs and outcomes.
- Share best practice with collaborative partners and stay up to date with developments in social value and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- An excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and build strong, collaborative relationships.
- Strong knowledge of the economic challenges and opportunities within the Clyde area
, with the ability to translate this understanding into meaningful social value initiatives. - A strong technical understanding of social value
, including the development of high-impact social value plans that deliver measurable outcomes. - Significant, demonstrable experience in the successful delivery of complex social value projects
, including responsibility for associated budgets. - Fully competent in the use of social value monetisation tools to measure, track, and report impact.
- Proven experience of managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, maintaining alignment and momentum across diverse groups.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong IT capability, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

Umbrella contractor preferred but Staff fill considered.
Security clearance: Due to the nature of work, applicants will be required to meet residency criteria to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already cleared to SC level.
