Overview

Job Title: Leave of Absence Specialist

This position oversees and assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Absence Management Programs. You will provide case management, develop educational materials, and establish procedures for both long-term and short-term employee placements. Your role will be essential in promoting quality, cost-effective outcomes and coordinating the Disability Intervention Program. You will offer guidance to other professionals in facilitating Absence Management processes, with a focus on facilitating and monitoring successful returns to work for team members.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of Absence Management Programs.
  • Provide case management and develop educational materials and procedures for employee placement.
  • Promote quality, cost-effective outcomes in absence management.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Disability Intervention Program.
  • Provide guidance to professionals in facilitating Absence Management processes.
  • Facilitate and monitor successful returns to work for team members.
Essential Skills
  • 5-7 years of experience in leave administration.
  • Experience with FMLA, Worker's Compensation, ADAAA laws, LTD, and Cobra.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
  • CPDM (Certified Professional Disability Management) and CLMS (Certified Leave Management Specialist) certifications are preferred.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring you to be onsite for training for 2-3 weeks initially, followed by remote work. You will need to come onsite 2-3 days a month for meetings. These days will not be consecutive, so candidates should be within driving distance to downtown Indianapolis.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
