About The Role

At Cooper Parry, we’re not your typical accountancy firm. We’re here to disrupt, innovate, and make life count, for our clients and our people. Our Business Restructuring & Insolvency team is growing fast, and we’re looking for an Insolvency Assistant Manager who’s ready to take ownership, lead with confidence, and help us shape the future of the industry.

  • Managing corporate insolvency procedures: administrations, liquidations (both solvent and insolvent), and voluntary arrangements.
  • Leading some advisory engagements and applying up-to-date knowledge of case law, SIPs, and legislation.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and IPs, keeping everyone informed and engaged.
  • Building strong relationships with professionals—legal teams, valuation agents, referrers.
  • Driving progress on cases, resolving challenges, and keeping partners/IPs in the loop.
  • Coaching and developing the team: allocating work, reviewing outputs, and providing feedback.
  • Managing formal performance reviews and supporting career development.
  • Getting involved in marketing and business development—helping us win new work and grow the department.
  • Championing new ideas and ways of working to keep us ahead of the curve.
About You
  • Strong experience managing corporate insolvency procedures: liquidations (solvent & insolvent), administrations, and ideally voluntary arrangements.
  • Experience in personal insolvency (bankruptcy and voluntary arrangements) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of insolvency case law, SIPs, and legislation.
  • A confident communicator who can build trust and influence at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage WIP, billing, and case progression.
  • Experience leading and developing a team (desirable).
  • Commercially savvy with a track record of client handling and (ideally) business development.
  • 5+ years insolvency experience (desirable).
  • A team player who’s passionate about growth.
