Associate Vice President of Sales / Sr Living / Western USA
Phar Merica is seeking an Associate Vice President of Sales for its Senior Living division covering the Western USA territory (AK, HI, CA, OR, WA, , NV, AZ, NM, CO, WY, MT). This remote position requires 50% travel and is open to candidates residing anywhere within the territory.
OverviewThe Associate Vice President of Sales will manage regional business line strategy to drive strategic plans and growth, meeting/exceeding senior living revenue goals through organic new sales and client retention. The role will also plan, develop, and execute senior living initiatives aligned with Phar Merica’s strategic direction.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Vice President of Growth, Market Development, Operations, and other key associates to implement growth initiatives consistent with the overall revenue plan.
- Develop and execute chain client business strategies to expand Phar Merica’s value proposition, assess service satisfaction, address client issues, manage expectations, and coordinate interventions.
- Ensure new business is implemented in a manner consistent with an established client management plan.
- Maintain the client profiling database for tracking and troubleshooting.
- Review client feedback results and identify improvement areas that drive consistent growth.
- Support new client start‑ups, acquisitions, and business transitions.
- Lead strategy development with Regional Client Managers and corporate chain clients to maximize operational, clinical, and financial performance while securing long‑term partnerships.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Execute duties in accordance with Phar Merica’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, policies, and applicable laws.
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA/MHA preferred.
- Minimum five years of client management or client sales experience.
- Experience working with CEOs, COOs, SVPs.
- Minimum five years in Pharmacy Benefit Management, Pharmacy Wholesale Management, or Senior Living Care Management.
- Familiarity with broad sales, client service orientation, and territory management.
- Knowledge of sales‑management tools and databases.
- Strong client service, communication, and influence skills.
- Strong negotiation skills, financial business acumen, and process discipline.

- Possess sales, process, product, service, and industry knowledge.
