The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading the Central U.S. Region Sales Team, overseeing strategy, tactics, revenue growth, profitability, and the direction of 10 Account Managers. The central region covers Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Wisconsin. This is a remote position; the selected candidate must reside in a major city within the region.
Responsibilities- Lead execution of strategies and tactics to mobilize the Regional Sales team to achieve annual sales and gross profit dollar quotas.
- Direct and administer established sales processes and metrics for increased productivity, profitable revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Western Region Vice President of Sales to develop quarterly and annual sales goals and objectives.
- Monitor and communicate region’s progress against sales objectives to Account Managers and Bound Tree Leadership.
- Assist in administering the sales compensation plan and determining individual Account Manager’s annual quotas.
- Develop and sustain relationships with key customers and suppliers to stay abreast of emerging needs.
- Stay current on regional market trends, customer needs, volume potential, and pricing requirements.
- Develop direct reports through performance feedback, team meetings, stretch assignments, and sales meetings.
- Empower team and foster open, supportive work environment to achieve sales objectives.
- Ensure sales team has the tools and resources for profitable revenue growth.
- Advocate for Territory Account Managers, building healthy teams that achieve business goals.
- Drive success for Bound Tree Medical by embracing an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Minimum three years’ sales management experience leading teams in pre‑hospital, EMS, medical or B2B settings.
- Minimum five years’ medical or B2B field sales experience with a proven record of meeting/exceeding sales quota.
- Ability to build and sustain a cohesive field‑based sales team and facilitate quota attainment.
- Proven leadership skill set: trust building, influence, coaching for business results, change management, relationship building, problem solving.
- Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, able to work independently or within a team.
- Sound judgment and analytical skills with ability to develop alternative solutions.
- Experience planning and forecasting sales at individual and regional levels.
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Impeccable interpersonal and negotiation skills with record of favorable outcomes.
