The Area Manager (AM) is responsible forleading2–3 sales territories within the assigned geography, driving consistent quota achievement, talent development, and operational excellence. This role serves as a senior field leader who aligns Territory Leads (TLs) and their teams with Arthrex Green Bay (AGB) culture, strategic initiatives, and structured sales execution. The Area Manager plays a critical role in translating corporate strategy into field performance.
Key Responsibilities Sales Accountability & Performance- Achieve≥95% performance in every sales bucket annually
- Performance below 95% in any bucket triggers leadership review
- Failure to meet annual quota fortwo consecutive yearsmay result in role reassessment
- Review and approve TL business plans aligned with area goals and Arthrex initiatives
- Monitor territory performance weekly using
AXIS data - Ensure consistent execution of theECI sales process with documented action plans
- Oversee territory inventory accountability, including expired, lost, or damaged products; partner with the Inventory Manager to complete quarterly cycle counts and annual audits and communicate findings to the Director of Sales. Inefficiencies of inventory management can result in loss of bonus opportunity
- Partner with Product Managers/Product Specialists to execute launches, initiatives, and training
- Lead by example in the OR to support key accounts and critical cases
- Directly manage, coach, and develop Territory Leads
- Conduct quarterly one-on-one meetings with documented follow-up
- Complete annual performance reviews each August using standard AGB templates
- Develop and manage individualized growth plans for TLs
- Support TLs in development of Technology Specialists
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and corrective action /li>
- Foster open communication and reinforce AGB culture and expectations
- Maintain low turnover through proactive leadership and engagement
- Ensure comprehensive training across Arthrex products and procedures
- Coordinate and execute:
- New product rollouts
- Ensure Medical Education resources areutilizedquarterly
- Leverage Arthrex corporate campuses for advanced training
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of research, clinical studies, and innovation
- Conduct regular in-field coaching focused on selling skills and case execution
- Partner with Product Managers/Project Specialists to deliver training tied to sales outcomes
- Participate in agency management meetings, forecasting, and planning
- Partner on quota planning and product bucket alignment
- Maintain accountability for inventory integrity (expired, lost, or damaged)
- Ensure quarterly cycle counts and annual audits are completed
- Enforce compliance with all AGB policies and employee handbook standards
- 5+ years Arthrex or medical device experience ORdemonstratedleadership experience, including 24+ months as a Team Lead or Product Manager/Product Specialist
- Residence within 30 milesof assigned geography
- Proven ability to lead teams, execute structured sales processes, and deliver consistent results
- Experience managing multiple territories
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership presence with acollaborative and coaching mindset

- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods in the ORwiththe abilitytolift 25lbs.
- Work Environment: Hospital operating rooms, medical education labs,field-basedand remote work environments.
- Travel: Regular in-field travel; occasional overnight travel
