The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities: (1) applying their professional knowledge and experience to global and national security missions executed within four departments with more than 65 employees; (2) establishing and maintaining trust‑based relationships with current and future sponsors and partners from DOE/NNSA, other laboratories, international organizations such as the International Atomic Energy Agency and other Sandia organizations;
(3) actively managing and developing managers and staff who often travel internationally, including travel to undeveloped and high‑risk countries.

¿ s mission space by leading the GNSN group and engaging with peers in the center, division, and across Sandia to support and advocate for collaborative work with domestic and foreign partners.
- Represent GNSN programs and mission space to internal and external partners
- Oversee management of program resources, SNL capabilities, and personnel to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs with integrity, quality, and expertise
- Ensure a safe and healthy workplace and the safety and security of employees traveling domestically and internationally
- Provide expert opinion, evaluation, and advice to other SNL mission and program areas
- Provide cost, schedule, scope, and performance data and metrics for projects
- Partner with your colleagues to initiate, develop and execute group, center, division, and lab‑wide plans and strategies
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
Due to the nature of work, successful candidate must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:$184,400 – $313,700
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and ten (10) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and development.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI clearance, which may require a polygraph test.
The ideal Senior Manager candidate for Sandia National Laboratories will in addition possess the following:
