Regional Development Manager (North Wales) to help inspire more people to ride, race and engage with cycling in their communities.

AboutThe Role
The Regional Development Manager – North Waleswill lead the delivery of Beicio Cymru’s participation and development activity across the region, supporting the implementation of the“Excite a New Generation of Riders”pillar of the national strategy.
This role offers the chance to be at the heart of that growth – working closely with clubs, schools, local authorities, partners and volunteers to create meaningful, sustainable opportunities for cycling across the region.
Working closely with the National Development Manager, you will build strong partnerships, support clubs and volunteers, develop programmes for children and young people, and help shape facilities, events and pathways that increase participation in cycling.
What We're Looking For Essential- Degree-level education in sport, exercise or a related field
- Experience writing grant applications and securing funding
- Knowledge of the Welsh sporting landscape and community structures
- Welsh language skills
- An understanding of cycling and Beicio Cymru’s strategic ambitions
- Proven experience in sports development, the charitable sector or a similar environment
- Strong partnership-building, communication and influencing skills
- Experience working with volunteers and community organisations
- Ability to plan, manage and deliver multiple projects effectively
- A clear commitment to inclusion, diversity and safe practice in sport
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North Wales
- Contract:
Full-time (37 hours per week) - Salary:£30,000 per annum
- Location:
Home-based, with regular travel across North Wales and occasional travel to Beicio Cymru offices in Newport - Working pattern:
Evening and weekend work may be required (TOIL provided)
