Job Title: Head of Programming (Retail Engagement, Marketing, Merchandising)

Location: Remote (Chicago preferred)

Start Date: 2/2/26

Duration: 12 months (2/1/27)

Hours: 40/week

About the Role

Join a well-known global brand and help shape experiences that inspire, educate, and engage customers. The Head of Programming will lead the strategy, development, and production of culturally relevant programs across retail locations and digital platforms. This role drives programming that aligns with brand values, business objectives, and customer engagement priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic programming agenda for the region, balancing culturally relevant experiences with business priorities.
  • Drive cross-regional initiatives in core areas such as services, education, small business, and brand values, with measurable KPIs.
  • Provide creative and strategic direction for content development, including talent identification and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate programming opportunities and ensure alignment with broader business goals.
  • Use data-driven insights to measure program effectiveness, inform strategy, and identify opportunities for innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years managing high-profile events and partnerships, including live, virtual, and broadcast experiences.
  • Experience with large, well-known brands and diverse talent.
  • Ability to influence at all levels through strategic, data-driven communication.
  • Proven experience managing multiple cross-functional teams (e.g., Programming, Production, Creative, Marketing, PR, Retail Operations, Internal Comms, Training, Merchandising, Finance).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Flexible project management style; able to execute multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong connections in the cultural and creative industries for sourcing talent and partnerships.
  • Highly strategic and creative in designing content experiences that engage audiences and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Strong presentation skills and professional communication.
