SIU Team Lead
** PRIMARY PURPOSE**:
To supervise a team of investigators and manage investigation assignments within a specified region; to implement investigative strategy and provide tactical/jurisdictional direction to investigators.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Supervises a team of investigators to ensure quality and timely handling of assignments.
* Monitors colleagues' workload, productivity and training needs.
* Identifies red flag indicators and recommends additional investigative services when appropriate.
* Advises management of trends and issues with recommended course of action.
* Performs quality review to ensure assignment objectives are met and in compliance with quality standards and client protocol.
* Maintains contact with the claims team.
** ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Performs other duties as assigned.
* Supports the organization's quality program(s).
* Travels as required.
** SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
* Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
* Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.
** QUALIFICATIONS
* *** Education & Licensing
** Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Licenses as required.
** Experience
* * Six (6) years investigative industry experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
** Skills & Knowledge
*** Thorough knowledge of claims investigation processes for multiple product lines
* Leadership/management/motivational skills
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Excellent oral and written communication
* PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
