This is a full-time hybrid role based in Basingstoke, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. As a Senior Rating Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing rating assessments, preparing valuation reports, negotiating appeals, and advising clients on business rates liabilities. Additional responsibilities include liaising with valuation officers, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing client relationships through exceptional service delivery.

• Proficiency in property valuation, rating assessments, and appeals
• Strong analytical and research skills for evaluating business rates and relevant data
• Experience in client relationship management and providing strategic advice
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
• Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Membership or qualification from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or an equivalent body is preferred
• Proficient in the use of property valuation software and standard office applications
• Familiarity with legislation and regulations related to business rates is advantageous
