Overview

The Clinic Manager plays a pivotal role in the growth and success of Ellie Mental Health overseeing a clinic’s operations, staff performance, and community impact. This position requires a dynamic, organized, and people-centered leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about both clinical excellence and team development. The Clinic Manager will be responsible for hiring and mentoring clinicians while fostering a culture that reflects Ellie’s values of authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, and determination.

Under the direction of the Clinic Director and partnership of the Owner, the CM will lead efforts to build a thriving practice that delivers exceptional care, meaningful connections, and sustainable growth. This is a full time position.

Who we are looking for

We’re seeking a self-starter and high-performing leader who balances compassion with accountability. The ideal candidate is deeply invested in team success, excited to build something meaningful, and comfortable wearing many hats from supporting clinicians to engaging the community. As Clinic Manager of Ellie Mental Health, you’ll lead by:

Responsibilities
  • Building and managing a high-performing clinic
  • Partnering with the Clinic Director and Supervisor to guide staff to meet performance expectations and grow professionally
  • Leading community outreach, marketing and social media efforts to expand the clinic’s presence
  • Maintain a manageable caseload of approximately 20-22 clients per week
  • Lead the recruitment process, hiring, and training for a minimum of 10 therapists to meet clinic staffing and revenue goals
  • Manage onboarding and guide new hires through orientation and development
  • Coordinates with supervisors to ensure new hires receive appropriate clinical guidance, Ellie Match setup, and scheduling support
  • Fully understand, uphold and keep current all Ellie operations and policies
  • Support staff in building and maintaining their caseload (begins 4 weeks before start date) and partner with Supervisor to hold them accountable for meeting performance expectations
  • Under the direction of the Clinic Director, prepare quarterly reviews and partner with the Clinic Supervisor to provide 1:1 consultation with all therapists to review productivity, caseload, retention, and clinical documentation quarterly
  • Manage staff performance, including Performance Coaching, in partnership with Clinic Director and Clinic Supervisor
  • Create a culture that fosters collaboration and inclusion
  • Work with Clinic Director and Owner to achieve fiscal and operational excellence
  • Respond promptly to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, or external stakeholders
  • Serve as point of contact for building management related issues or concerns and supply needs
  • Lead community outreach, marketing, and networking efforts to strengthen referral partnerships and community visibility
  • Attend outreach events and spearhead and staff Ellie recruitment tables for clients and clinicians
  • Manage the clinic’s online and social media presence to promote Ellie’s mission and ensure the community knows who we are
  • Weekly review and updates of Psychology Today, Ellie Match, Uberall, Google Business, and other social media platforms
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or higher education in mental health discipline
  • Independently licensed with a Maryland - issued clinical practice license
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and executive skill sets
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice
  • Excellent time management skills
