Job Summary
Serve as a Construction Manager in the Remote Construction Division of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic. This 100% TDY position is based at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa and will last up to one year. The role may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment.
Key Responsibilities- Review project management data (cost, schedule, risks, quality assurance) to determine progress or shortfalls against project objectives.
- Evaluate programs for quality assurance and compliance with rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Identify and evaluate solutions to issues and problems.
- Discuss the development of operational requirements with managers.
- Prepare written reports to provide status updates.
In order to qualify, applicants must demonstrate sufficient experience, education, and competencies in accountability, oral communication, problem solving, project management, risk management, and written communication. Resume and occupational questionnaire responses will be evaluated for:
- Experience with project management and quality assurance.
- Ability to create and analyze project data.
- Track record of solving operational problems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Risk management experience.
Salary range based on 2024 pay tables; locality adjustment will be applied based on duty station. The position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
