Team Coordinator Category ManagementAs Team Coordinator Category Management, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating the global machining supply chain, with a strong focus on milling and machining categories. This position sits at the intersection of category management, global sourcing and cross‑regional coordination.
You will act as a task and process coordinator, ensuring global supply continuity, KPI achievement, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders. While this role does not include direct people management, it requires strong leadership, coordination, and influence skills in a matrixed, international environment.
YOUR CHALLENGES- Take direct responsibility for the machining supply chain, with a focus on milling and turning categories
- Lead to establish the global category strategy, align with key stakeholders and execute globally
- Manage and coordinate global category management activities and suppliers across regions
- Coordinate day-to-day tasks and priorities of category management colleagues
- Ensure KPI achievement related to cost, delivery, quality, and supply continuity
- Act as a central coordination point between category management, supply chain, and internal stakeholders
- Support alignment of global sourcing strategies and operational execution
- Drive structured collaboration across regions and functions in a multinational environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement of category management processes and ways of working
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
- Strong engineering background, with hands‑on understanding of:
Milling, Turning, Machining processes and equipment - Proven experience managing global suppliers and supply chains
- Fluency in English and German (both required)
- Experience in a leading or coordinating role (formal or informal leadership)
- Previous exposure to category management at global or regional level
- Leadership experience without direct people management responsibility
- A strategic coordination role with global exposure across Europe and Asia
