Responsibilities- Maintain national membership records in accordance with UCU statutory obligations.
- Process applications for membership by telephone and online, following UCU Rules and Regulations.
- Provide information and advice to members, prospective members, branches and UCU staff on membership and subscription issues.
- Calculate subscription refunds or arrears and monitor legal bills and fee notes.
- Create spreadsheets, reports and document bundles to handle data for information and reporting purposes.
- Monitor the legal team inbox and respond to or refer member queries as appropriate.
- GCSE level or equivalent experience (including maths & English).
- Experience in a similar environment and/or understanding of working for a trade union or not‑for‑profit organisation.
- Sound organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

UCU requiresometers its employees to work from the office for at least 60% of the week. Work from home may be applied for the remaining 40%, but agreement is not guaranteed.
